While working at the Staalslagerij I designed and developed physical concepts. These concepts are used to research, communicate or connect for clients such as governments, NGOs, festivals, museums or advertising agencies.
Zalando Re:cycle
With the Staalslagerij I designed (and build) different Spatial Designs. Including machines, used for a Zalando commercial. To promote the clothing collection Re:cycle designed by Viktor and Rolf, Van Santen and Bolleurs (artist duo) designed a fun commercial in their style. We designed and build the machines seen in this commercial. They make it look like they recycle clothes in a playful manner. (see below)
Nemo
Design and building of the NEMO Family Workplace, with the goal to teach children about mechanical transmissions. "Machines have become indispensable. They make our work and life easier. In the summer you (the kids) can work with machines yourself in the NEMO Family Workshop. Research how you can make something heavy lighter with a machine, design a device that does a job for you and discover how you can make cool drawings with machines. In the middle of the Family Workshop is a huge installation that we designed with many types of moving machines."
