Tellent.

Tellent helps to accelerate growth from within a company and commit to deliver the best tools that help organizations prosper. Their objective is to unite the best HR tech solutions on the market, forming the most extensive HR tech ecosystem.

A new brand

Tellent came to New Story requesting a completely new brand. From logo, colors and formlanguage, to the details like motion, illustration, icons and photography. I designed the new style in which Tellent would enter the international market. The brand needed to stand out between existing HR companies, showing their innovative ways, while coming across as trustworthy and knowlegdable.

Design explained

When you google Tellent, now the new brand pops up, but this used to be a list of companies called similarly. The new logo needed to stand out and not resemble excisting logo's at all for copyright reasons. The logo needed to have a simplicity to it and it needed to be easy to read and use in digital and print.

I used a font that I tweaked to be completely unique. The T stands out and can be recognized as Tellent's T without needing to see the whole logo. The openings in the letters e and n make it more playful and makes it stand out from more minimalist, sleek (dare say a bit characterless, eventhough sometimes it serves it's purpose) logo designs.

The colors chosen for Tellent, might turn heads. It is digital, fresh and daring.

Most technical companies use the colors blue (61%) and red as their main colors. For Tellent I wanted to keep it close to this yet make it stand out. The following colors where chosen.

Blue: A clear hint towards the technical side of the company (since it offers tech solutions) with the two, dark and deep, blue's. The deep blue is very RGB and will make it look digital, modern and fresh, while the darker blue creates a calm feeling.

Pink: To compliment the blue it is paired with an opposing warm yet exciting pink that shows a balance between a plain red and the chosen blue. The pink stands out from other HR companies that mostly stick to blue and red as their main colors. In the design it is used to highlight elements.

Purple: The last color is purple, added to bridge the gap between the pink and the blue. It is in the mids of red, which creates a daring and passionate feeling, fitting for the way they launched into a crowded market and the known calm that blue radiates, fitted for their years of experience within the branch.

The gradient: The colorscheme is therefor analogues. This is done to be able to create a gradient, used as their main color language, that resembles the merging of different companies under the umbrella, called Tellent.
